Compassion for people is at the very heart of NCA’s Outreach programs and events.
Student led initiatives through Nashua Christian Academy address a broad range of needs both locally, as students gather to help a family in need or run a children’s program in the park, and globally, as students support a school in a Zarichevo, a mountain gypsy village in Ukraine, or work with children in an orphanage high in the Andes. Each year at Nashua Christian Academy students partner with a number of local organizations in volunteer service to embody our mission Passion for God, Compassion for People. A special high school chapel each fall is dedicated to Community Outreach, providing students a chance to hear from representatives of area organizations, and to choose where they would like to serve for the coming year. Student leaders challenge their peers to step out of their comfort zones and into service.
Some of the local organizations and individuals regularly served include:
- Southern New Hampshire Rescue Mission
- Care Givers of Nashua
- Care Net Pregnancy Center
- Beacon Hospice
- Red Cross
- local families in need
- Nashua public schools and afterschool programs
- Nashua Children's home
- Angle Tree
- Mooremart
- Big Brother Big Sister of Nashua.
Community service is required for students at all levels at NCA. Many become deeply involved in service and continue their volunteerism beyond their time at NCA. This is our ultimate goal for our students - to make regular service in their local community an essential part of daily life.
