High School

Preparation for college and the future - whatever that may hold. High school is where worldview is often cemented and life-long friendships are made.

When someone develops a heart for God, every aspect of his or her life is impacted and dramatically improved. Guiding our students through this process is a high calling, one which requires diligence and the grace of God. We start this work on our knees and work it out daily in relationships, instruction and discussions in and outside class.

Discipline becomes discipling - discipline with the heart in mind and a clear, relevant Scriptural purpose. Faculty and staff work one on one to mentor students, guiding each one toward excellence and integrity.

Students with a heart for God also show significant growth in commitment to academics. Since NCA’s inception, students’ Scholastic Aptitude Test scores have been significantly above state and national averages. This level of academic achievement reflects both the unique quality of our students and the pursuit of excellence among the staff of NCA.

Consider Johanna Holecy’s reflection: (class of ’05)

“These six words, Passion for God, Compassion for People have been the driving force behind everything done at NCA. Teachers and students alike strive toward real understanding of what this motto truly means, both personally and cooperatively… We want to walk like Him, talk like Him and reflect Him in all we do; …At NCA we are striving to live this on a daily basis.”
