Passion for God...
Compassion for People.

The High School staff at Nashua Christian Academy is dedicated to preparing each student for college and beyond. Guiding them as they develop a heart for God is an honorable goal and a high calling, one which requires diligence and the grace of God. Often when a student makes the decision to develop a heart for God we see significant growth in their commitment to academics. This level of academic achievement reflects both the unique quality of our students and the pursuit of excellence among the staff of NCA.

High School Staff

Chris Urban is the Principal of Nashua Christian Academy and has been involved in Christian education for more than two decades. A graduate of Memphis State University (BA & Masters), she has continued her education with classes in education, business and administration at Rivier, Gordon College, Wheelock, and Middlesex Community College. She loves seeing her former Kindergartners graduate from high school and even college (noting they age much faster than she)! Mrs. Urban and her husband are committed to missions, and treasure many friendships with those in the field both at home and abroad.

Interesting Fact: Mrs. Urban loves Prince Edward Island, traveling there in recent years to attend the annual Step-Dance and Piping competitions, visit the Anne sights, sing along at the ceilidhs, and soak in the emerald beauty of the island.

Sue Rondeau is the Assistant to the Principal and Registrar at NCA. She is delighted to be working in the office where she is learning new skills and honing old ones. Over the years Sue has been active as both a volunteer and a substitute teacher at NCA. Sue is married with three children, the youngest of which attends NCA. Sharing the Savior's love with others is one of her passions. Helping the elderly or disabled, reaching out to the lost, lonely, or hurting, assisting the needy, or just offering a friendly smile to a by-passer are some of the ways she shares that love.

Previously he worked for 5 years as the Assistant Program Director at Camp Berea in Hebron NH so teens have been a big part of Dan's life for a while now. Dan and his wife Kristen have 3 boys all within 5 years of each other which gives them a particularly abundant life.

Dan graduated from Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque IA with a BS in Biblical Studies.

Kirsten Boucher is the Biology and Art teacher in the High School at NCA. She also teaches Life Science, Earth Science, and Space & Physical Science in Junior High. She has been with NCA since 2003 and holds a BA in Biology from Mount Holyoke College. At Mount Holyoke she took many classes including an independent study in sculpture. She holds a Certificate from Hallmark Institute of Photography which make sense when you consider she is also the NCA Yearbook coordinator.

Kirsten is married with 2 daughters who attend NCA loves being outdoors. Skiing, camping, bicycling are all part of her life. When she can, she also enjoys scrapbooking, painting, sewing and dollmaking.

Interesting Fact: Kirsten is a busy woman! In addition to her many duties at NCA she is the superintendent of Sunday School at her church which includes filling in where needed, teaching anywhere from 3 year olds to 8th graders.

Kristin Burns teaches Latin in the High School and English & History in the Junior High at NCA. She loves to challenge students, and believes that they are capable of so much more than they know. Her methods and philosophy are influenced by old books, the classical Christian education movement and thinkers such as J. Gresham Machen, C.S. Lewis, and Mortimer Adler.

She holds a BA in English and an MA in Education. Languages are her passion, especially Russian, and her favorite place to be is Powell's Bookstore in Portland, Oregon.

She earned her BS from Boston University in History and is presently enrolled as a distance learner at Trinity College in Newburgh, Indiana working on a Master's degree in Biblical Studies, with a focus on Christian Education. Teaching, for her, is and forever has been about her students. Along with her family, all her students have been her raison d'etre. "When students feel free to share their perspectives on current issues and government etc. I realize, as Christa McAuliffe did, that I am touching the future because I teach."

When not studying for her Masters Alberta loves to travel, go to school sports games, do crossword puzzles and read. She also solve mysteries with her friends Jessica, Poirot, Columbo, and Holmes.

Interesting Fact: Right out of college Alberta and her husband traveled to Panama where she taught second grade for two years. She remembers fondly forty students in each class as a "joy beyond measure". "I can still see them all and have such wonderful memories of those little ones"

Janine Meyers teaches an Outreach elective in the High School at NCA and is the Administrative Assistant. "Passion for Christ, compassion for people" is more than just a slogan to Janine. She encourages the able hands and positive attitudes NCA students poses and offers these gifts to charitable and outreach organizations in the greater Nashua area like the Nashua Children's Home; Big Brother Big Sister and the Tolles St. Mission to name a few.

Stephanie Tanguay teaches English in the High School at NCA. Stephanie came to NCA in 2005 directly after earning her BA in English Education at Southern New Hampshire University.

She and her family have attended Grace Fellowship Church since1994, and she considers it a great blessing to be able to teach at the same school her children attend. When not teaching Stephanie love to spend time boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, reading (naturally) and painting murals on walls in oils or acrylics.

In descending order here are Stephanie's favorite books:
1. The Bible -no reason necessary.
2. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein -my childhood favorite.
3. The Jungle by Upton Sinclair -the book itself is profound and rings true, but also the impact that it had directly on the meatpacking industry and society.
4. Modoc: The True Story of the Greatest Elephant that ever Lived -Amazing detail and imagery. I couldn't put it down.
5. The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman -not a book, but a short story. Again, changes society. Also, a realistic and far too probable look into the mind of someone driven to madness.
